Ethiopian Shashamane Overview

In our recent Farm DirectTM expedition we experienced ancient coffee ceremonies, endless miles of dusty road, and cup after cup of remarkable coffee. In a hidden valley along the Koke river we were fortunate enough to find a welcoming small community of farmers whose dedication to the bean far surpassed are already high expectations. This cooperative is located 3 kilometers northeast of Yirgacheffe, in a verdant and lush gathering of hills, at an altitude of 1800 meters. The rainfall in the region generously supplies the community washing station where the farmers gather to process their beans we learned that in these green hills harvest is a time of joy, song, and celebration. This quintessential Yirgacheffe is the Winner of the East African Fine Coffee Competition and our latest Caffé Vita Farm DirectTM Coffee.
